IT Network & Security Engineer (Belgium, Liège)

Scope

You are involved in the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of many different pieces of network- and security-related hardware and software.
You are employed to perform network-based security risk assessments, and help design new infrastructure solutions as expand or replace systems architecture.
You will also participate to network and security projects.

Job Description

Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and propose network design improvements aligned with needs
Manage, maintain and monitor the network and security infrastructure to ensure optimal service level on within a 24/7 shift. (ticketing system)
Lead incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage
Upgrade systems regularly to remain competitive in the field of security
Document network and security infrastructure and processes
Ready to travel occasionally

Profile

Bachelor or Master degree in IT (IT security & network oriented)
3 to 5 years experience in a similar position
Prerequisites:
- Mandatory:
  - Fortinet or checkpoint or paloalto + cisco
  - TCP/IP stack, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, VRRP, dot1q, HTTPS, SNMP, IPSec
- Is a plus:
  - Pulse Secure, WAF, Netscaler, Arista, Cloud Security (Microsoft & AWS), Linux
  - Any network & security certifications
Willing to learn, proactive, dynamic, good inter-personnal communication
Living at maximum 50 km from EVS HQ (Seraing)
Working knowledge of French and English
